# 010960“Windows Into Washington” with David Balto: A Discussion of Hot Topics in Antitrust
David Balto, one of the nation’s preeminent antitrust experts, will treat program attendees to a Washington insider’s report on current developments and hot topics in antitrust law. Mr. Balto will provide an overview of the priorities and enforcement approaches of the antitrust agencies under the Obama Administration, as well as discuss topics such as the Federal Trade Commission's recent enforcement matters, reverse payments, antitrust immunity for health care providers, high technology firms and their arrangements, and differences between the U.S. Supreme Court’s and federal antitrust agencies’ analysis of antitrust law and policy. Mr. Balto has practiced antitrust law for over 20 years, including in the Bureau of Competition of the Federal Trade Commission, the Antitrust Division of the Department of Justice and private practice. At the Commission, Mr. Balto was the Policy Director of the Bureau of Competition and an attorney advisor to then-chairman Robert Pitofsky.
