Kwok Talk and Title Insurance: Termination/Continuation of Coverage under Policies of Title Insurance

This seminar will discuss issues concerning the termination and continuation of coverage under title insurance policies, including the California Court of Appeal's only decision on the topic, Kwok v. Transnation Title Ins. Co. Topics include discussion of owner's and lender's title policies, and distinctions in policy language found in more recent policy forms and older policy forms that are still in existence. The seminar will be useful both to insured lenders and owners (by identifying scenarios that might result in termination of or limitations on coverage) as well as title insurers handling claims.
