Topics will include: preliminary issues and considerations before filing as a "class"; precertification litigation including issues pertaining to discovery, precertification notices, and privacy concerns; process for certifying a class; class action settlements including fairness hearings, final notices, and motions for final approval; implementation of the Class Action Fairness Act; and fees payable to class representatives and attorneys.
