2012 Mandatory/Refresher Probate Volunteer Panel Attorney Training Program
This program teaches attorneys how to serve as court-appointed counsel in probate and conservatorship matters. It covers the tasks that court-appointed counsel generally undertake (interviewing and advocating for conservatees and drafting reports, among others), as well as the Court's expectations of appointed counsel. The program satisfies portions of the educational requirements of court-appointed counsel set forth in CRC 7.1101 and LASC Local Rule 4.123(c). Although geared toward court-appointed counsel with little or no experience, this is a worthwhile refresher course for more experienced PVP attorneys.
