2012 CEQA Update
After recent California Supreme Court and other appellate cases, has the landscape of CEQA changed? And could there be further shifts in the state of the law given the slate of CEQA cases on the California Supreme Court’s upcoming calendar – including the Metro Line Rail case (which will consider important baseline questions concerning EIR disclosure of the project’s cumulative traffic impacts) and the Berkeley single-family CEQA exemption case (which generated intense calls for and against review). Two leading practitioners will offer their perspectives on where things stand, and where they are likely headed.
