California’s Drought: An Update on Water Supply Reliability Issues and Their Legal Implications, including CEQA Impacts on Projects

The Governor recently declared a Drought State of Emergency and directed State officials to take steps to deal with the problem. This program will provide an update on those actions and other related issues concerning water supply reliability, including potential groundwater regulation. It will also provide insights into what the drought actually means for the CEQA process, including what issues practitioners, consultants, and developers should watch for in bringing forward new developments.

The speakers, who collectively offer expertise in water law, water policy, and CEQA at both local and statewide levels, will focus on practical legal implications of current water issues.
